VII International Scientific and Practical Conference "CRIMINAL LAW AND OPERATIONAL-SEARCH ACTIVITY: PROBLEMS OF LEGISLATION, SCIENCE AND PRACTICE"

On April 23, 2021, the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Criminal Law and Investigative Activities: Problems of Legislation, Science and Practice” was held at the FKU Research Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, dedicated to the memory of Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Law, Professor Goryainov Konstantin Konstantinovich. It was attended by scientific and pedagogical workers of educational organizations and scientific institutions, as well as practical employees of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Investigative Committee of Russia, the Bar Association of the Moscow Region.

In addition, scientists from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, Hungary, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan and other states participated in the conference in absentia.

Sergey Nikolayevich Ovchinnikov, Acting Head of the FKU Research Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, opened the conference. The daughter of K.K. Goryainova, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Language and Theory of Literature of the Translation Faculty of the Moscow State Linguistic University, Candidate of Philological Sciences Alla Konstantinovna Rudenko.

Within the framework of the conference, topical issues of combating crime at the present stage, the improvement of the branches of criminal and operational-investigative legislation and the practice of their implementation, the development of relevant branches of science were considered. The objectives of the conference were to provide scientists and practitioners with a platform to share the results of their research, to optimize the gap between theoretical knowledge and the practice of combating crime, to identify and eliminate contradictions in the views of representatives of the sciences of criminal law and investigative activities. At the end of the conference, the results were summed up.

As a result of the conference, two collections were published. One in the publishing house “Jurisprudence”, it is indexed in the RSCI. The other one, with the support of the NAUKOMETRIYA.RF website, was published by the Portuguese publishing house SciTePress and sent for indexing to the international citation database Scopus.
