About conference

On April 28-29, 2022, the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Criminal Law and Investigative Activities: Problems of Legislation, Science and Practice” was held at the FKU Research Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.

The solemn opening ceremony was held in the assembly hall. The head of the FKU Research Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, Colonel of the Internal Service, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor Grigory Viktorovich Shcherbakov, made an introductory speech. He stressed that this event is the platform that will allow developing common concepts in the field of combating crime.

Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Semyonovichi Ovchinsky, addressed the participants and guests of the Conference with a welcoming speech, who noted the importance of the event and its relevance today. Also, the President of the Union of Criminalists and Criminologists, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Honorary Worker of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, Igor Mikhailovich Matskevich, delivered a welcoming speech in the format of a video message.

The Conference was attended by leading scientists from educational and scientific organizations of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the bar and notaries, employees of structural divisions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, foreign penitentiary and educational institutions, public organizations; practitioners of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation; scientific and pedagogical workers of educational and scientific organizations of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Almost all speeches had a pronounced intersectoral character. Many of them sparked a lively discussion.

As a result of the Conference, recommendations were adopted aimed at strengthening the interdisciplinary focus of ongoing scientific research, improving the current criminal, penitentiary and operational-investigative legislation, as well as the practice of their application.

The article should correspond to the topic of the conference and sections, as well as be relevant and have scientific novelty. The style of presentation should be scientific, understandable to a specialist in the relevant field.

Materials are accepted for publication in the collection of scientific papers
in electronic version in Word (doc, docx) format, no more than
0.7 p. l., page size A4, page orientation portrait, all margins 2 cm, font – Times New Roman, size – 14 pt, line spacing – 1, paragraphs are set automatically – 1.25 cm, indicating the full name, surname , patronymic of the author, title of the article in Russian.

Footnotes are indicated page by page – without an interval, 12 size, are drawn up, like the main text.

When quoting directly or indirectly, it is obligatory to indicate the pages of the source, multiple repetition of spaces is not allowed, the list of references is arranged in alphabetical order, the pages of the article are not numbered.

The file of the article should have the name – Surname of the correspondent author – article of the RSCI. For example, “Ivanov – RSCI article.”
