Regional Round Table: "Problems of Application of Criminal Law in the Implementation of Operational and Investigative Activities"

In February 2015, G.S. Shkabin, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Ryazan Branch of the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia named after V.Y. Kikot, appealed to the leadership of the Branch with an initiative to conduct a regional round table on the topic “Problems of applying criminal legislation in the implementation of operational-search activities” by the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology and the Department of Operational-Search Activities. This initiative was supported and the first round table was held on April 9, 2015.

The event was justified by the ambiguity of judicial and investigative practice on the legal assessment of the actions of persons involved in conducting operational-search activities and the increased issues of law enforcement in this area. The round table aroused interest among scientists, judges and law enforcement officers of Ryazan.
